5000

I have been watching the blog sitemeter creep up. I have been waiting for it get to 5000. That may not be a huge milestone for other bloggers, but it's really fun for me! Back when I started I wasn't sure if anyone was reading my musings or not. I began it as a way to process my thought, de-stress my life, and gain some perspective.

My dear friend (and my inspiration) found my blog before I even sent my first email to invite my friends and family to visit. I loved reading about her life and how it was a way to stay connected even though we don't live in the same area anymore. Since Chuck & I seem to keep moving from place to place, I hope my blogspot will continue to help us stay connected to the friends whose paths we have crossed along the way.

I never thought I would make such great blogging friends! I would have never imagined that I could widen my friendships to include people I have never met. I refer to you as my friends because that's what you are. I pray for you when you ask me to. I have rejoiced with you over great events and cried for you during your struggles.

And all of this leads up to The Peapod's 5000th view. I didn't add the sitemeter until a ways into the blogging so I don't know how accurate it really is. (Plus it counts all the times I visit to see my pictures again and again.)

I did think it was kind of fun that I was the 5000th visitor. So let me challenge all of you who come by for a virtual visit, lurkers included, to please leave a comment to let us know who you are and how you found The Peapod. (If you don't have an account, click anonymous and sign your name). I want to introduce my friends to each other. I would never let you be at my house without introducing you to everyone else in the room.

BTW, thanks for being part of my world!

I think it would be most accurate to say that *you* found me...and it was through Wife of a Rockstar. You were the first "unknown person" to me to comment on my blog and that was neat. It has been fun having a glance into your life, praying for big happenings and getting to know you and knowing you're praying for our family.

Blessings! And congrats on 5000. I have to figure out how to add a sitemeter.

I enjoy reading what you write. I found you through your/our Dear Friend's blogroll (and comments you left on my blog).

PS-Site meter has a setting that you can ignore your own visits.
PSS-I'd love to be in your garden and living room.

Thanks for pushing us to be part of this new "culture." Although "technologically challenged" we are learning and trying to introduce our "OP" friends to this communicat8ion module. Bless you for your ministry to so many via the blog.

Your blog has been a great way for us to reconnect and stay in touch. I really feel like I'm up on your life and love knowing how I can pray for you! Love the pictures too!

Well, we met at a local homeschool gathering. I will always remember you as the lady with a smile and bug spray! (I remember your post on being prepared for anything, and I believe you!) I look forward to being your friend no matter where you live. But I can still be a little bit sad to see you go....

Hi! I think I must have connected to your blog via Courtney's. I only imagine that since you mentioned her. How do you two know each other? What fun it would be to have a tea party with all of us! (Imagine all of our children, too! Wild!)

I love knowing how many people read my blog too. Kinda cool isn't it?

OK...to show my age, I was Courtney's youth group leader (back in the day that is). I have known her almost as long as I have known my hubby. And I would LOVE to sit down for tea. If I had the resources, I would arrange a day of antique shopping and lunch for all my blogging friends.

Hey there :) I am pretty sure I found you through either Laura's blog (Stepping Out of the Boat) or Wife of the Rockstar (which of course- I found because of Laura too....)
I enjoy reading all about your life- like you said- even though I might not comment or "know" you- I do feel like I've visited your "home" often!

I think I clicked on yours from a comment you left on someone else's blog...Sorry that we never had the chance to get to know one another through the group! I love the connection through your blog to The Rockstar's blog too...so funny.
I've emailed you guys a few times trying to get ahold of you...

I can't remember how I found you, but I sure do like you!
You DO NOT look old enough to have been Courtney's youth group leader!

You've been "found" just today via the blogroll from the Rockstar's Wife. I look forward to reading more! Blessings...

I found you thru, how should we say it...a time of trial. I love that you've gotten me into blogging and I love reading the blogs of all the others. I, too, would love to sit down with all these incredible women, who have shared their lives with the rest of us.

Hey Blogger queen! With a million blogger friends. Love to read your posts. Sorry we haven't called, we've had lots of busy mornings lately. Maybe I'll wake you up early tomorrow morning. It will be nice to be in the same country, an only a few hours difference rather than 13! Praying your house will sell super fast...maybe tomorrow.

Congrats! It would take awhile to introduce all the folks in this room.

We met about 3 years ago when we were both still new in town and new to the homeschool group. Since then you have become new in town somewhere else, and before we can catch up with y'all, you will be new in town somewhere else. This has been a cause for a few little girls tears (OK, almost had some mommy tears, too), but we are excited that you are seeing God's hand in this coming move.

Hey Cris,
I'm #5,200. Woo Hoo!
Anyway, I read your Blog because you told me to. But really it's a great way to keep up even though you moved away 4 yrs. ago. I'm not sure exactly when we became friends. It must have been back in the "play group" days when our (combined) 5 girls were really little. But I will always love that your Mom & Dad thought that we would get along even before we met you & Chuck. And that was almost 13 yrs. ago. Thanks Lee & Bev, do you remember that? What a blessing your "kids" have been to us. TTYL

I've enjoyed reading your blog AND seeing you at the park. I'll be sad when we no longer see you at the park, but will be happy to continue reading your blog.
