What are your 5 things?

I love to ask questions to learn more about you. So, I had come up with a good question to ask and then forgot it before I could blog it. As I was trying to remember it, I came up with this question.

What are 5 things that you almost always have with you when you leave the house?

After some thought, I came up with these.

  1. cell phone
  2. Tristen's special gator-ade drink and medicine
  3. my list (of errands that we are running or things to get at the store)
  4. camera (you never know when you need to snap a shot for blogging)
  5. my planner (calendar)
Since my car is a bit of a rolling pharmacy and snack stand (I am the overly prepared mother) those 5 things are about all we need when we are out. What are your 5 things that you almost always have with you when you leave the house?

Hi! I just found your blog yesterday so today seems like a good time to de-lurk, lol. I don't have any kids, so this is all about me. I finally learned not to carry a purse so that DH has to carry his own stuff! :)
Here is my list:
1) cell phone
2) wallet
3) Lactaid
4) Pen and paper. You never know when inspiration will strike.
5) Keys--how do you guys get anywhere without keys? ;)

1. Blackberry
2. Multiple lists of To Do's
3. Lipstick
4. Wax and cleaning supplies for braces
5. Insurance card (always ... for some reason I think I would need it if I get into an accident. But realistically, I know that if I were upon a stretcher they would not stop me at the door to check for insurance!! Ha!)

Kinda fun to see what people think are important to "not leave home w/o".

I always have my keys, cell phone, purse (or at least wallet) and SUNGLASSES! I can't even look out the window with out sunglasses on! I often have my camera too, but in a pinch I use the camera on my phone. (I usually have a book too, just in case I have to wait somewhere and might have a chance to read.)

Oh, and I usually have water too!

3. A beverage of some kind..water, tea, coffee...
4. Backpack purse
5. Planner

I actually think it was your "rolling pharmacy" that gave me the idea of stocking a diaper station in my car. Instead of always having to remember a diaper bag, I just keep a large backpack in the car with diapers, wipes, bibs, extra clean sippy cup, changes of clothes ...really everything I would ever need in a diaper bag. Saves me from always hauling a giant diaper bag in and out of the house....or worse...leaving it at home!

Let's see... well, honestly, no one ever goes anywhere without a cell phone, wallet, and their keys, right? ...(which almost everyone has listed)... so basically the question is what 2 other "unique" things do you take with you... hmmm...
ok...
4) Usually (but not always) a hat of some kind (baseball style in the warm months/beany style in the cold ones
5) A garage door opener (I can't remember the last time I used a door key to get into my own house.

1. Cell Phone
2. Sunglasses
3. Purse
4. First Aid Kit-meet my kids, you'll understand.
5. iPod-I never know when I'll have to entertain a couple of kids for awhile.

There are a couple of other things that stay in the van at all times, like #4, but we could only list 5. Have a great day.
