Snack Fairy

On a rare occasion my little ones head to bed and still seem a bit hungry. Maybe we had dinner extra early or it wasn't their favorite meal. For what ever reason, their little tummies are a rumblin'. Every once and awhile, the snack fairy will visit them, bearing a small container of something yummy. Tonight the snack fairy delivered a little dish of goldfish crackers.

Now don't get on my case about they have already brushed their teeth, or they shouldn't eat in bed. Every now and then, they deserve a little something extra. And being the no nonsense mom that I am, it is fun to throw caution to the wind and do something special for these precious children of mine. Just because I can.

That's a cute idea. I'll have to try that one...I am sure the kids would think it was great to have crumbs on their pillow (smile)!

I heard a saying once relating to this kind of subject. It went something like this.
"A good Mom pours a glass of milk. But Love adds a little chocolate".
It's fun to find creative ways to pour out love on those we care for.

I like that idea, and you can see form my blog that I'd never give you a hard time about them eating after they brushed their teeth!

I think that is so sweet! You know, in Russia it is very common for parents to give children "bedtime snacks" (with never a worry or thought about teeth). I hear this even happened in the orphanage.

Last night I shared a french bread pizza with Maxim at 10:30 at night. Very naughty, but nice, nevertheless.

I love the "snack fairy" idea. TOO CUTE! I went through a phase where I'd wake them with kisses.. Hershey's Kisses, that is. I'd sneak into their rooms and place one on their sweet heads. I'm never really all that great with being consistent... I sure may try your idea. Our babes are DEFINITELY worth a little something extra... every once in a while. =-)
