...how does your garden grow?

(you can click on the pics to make them bigger, as if you didn't know that already)

I will apologize right up front for the excessive pictures on this post. I had such a hard time choosing which ones I wanted to use. I know, I know...less is more, but I thought more is more.

We like to spend our time in the garden in the morning and evenings when it is shaded. The garden does get plenty of sun in the afternoon. I added the sun umbrella for the sand pit so the girls could play out here (plus, it looks cute).

Our radishes came up first. And now that it has been a week and a few days...everything has come through the ground. Ohhh, so fun to check it out every morning to see what has grown bigger.

Out of respect for our lovely rabbit, we didn't plant tomatoes (the stems and leaves are toxic to bunnies). We do like to bring Clover out into the garden everyday and let her run around and get exercise.

You can see we added another bench (made by Chuck) and we brought in pine straw to line the paths around the boxes.

I'm LOVING your garden! I want one so bad this year... now I've gotta talk my hubby into letting me get a tiller. (sp?) His parents ALWAYS have a HUGE garden and they're GREAT about sharing.. but it'd be SO NICE to have one HERE just outside our home.

Your little bunny is ADORABLE! We had a baby one visit us the other day. It was wild and quickly ran off. I'd LOVE to get the boys one for a pet. They're SOOOOO CUTE!

Okay.. my kiddos are about to drive me batty... I'd better go see what they're doing. LOL!

Have a GREAT week!

I am drooling!!! Your yard and garden are gorgeous(and your girls are beautiful as well). Like something out of a storybook : ) Thanks for sharing the pictures, especially for those of us who are not anywhere near that close to planting yet!!

OK. This is just too cute! The pictures with Clover should be part of your real estate advertising. Wonderful to see how great everything is growing. Don't forget to water the impatiens out front.

It is BEAUTIFUL. I am envious. I have always wanted a garden, but never got it together to have one.

I remember my parents planting a vegetable garden when I was a little older than our girls. It was fun to watch everything grow. Over spring break we planted some flower bulbs and they have started to sprout-it is so cute to see the excitement in the kids eyes!!

That is a seriously nice garden! I miss our garden when we lived in the country...our backyard is full shade now so no garden for me :(

How incredible to see a garden completely free from weeds! We battle them all year long, and it can get pretty discouraging. I loved all the pictures! I am a more is more sort of person too.

Can I move in? Just for a day. How picturesque.
I'll sit back and enjoy the fruits of your labor.

Is your bunny litter trained? We are having MAJOR troubles with Noel and his potty manners...especially since he is in heat and apparently will not come out of it until he had surgery. Major Hoppin' Headache Here! You can email back instead of posting my comment if you'd like.

I am so jealous! That garden is fabulous. You could go into a professional garden business...think Martha Stewart.

How inspiring! One fine day I am going to have a garden! It is one of my life goals! I love your set up so i will probably copy it when I do get to that point. I just love the way it is separated and the kids (& Clover) can walk through without having to worry about stepping on stuff.

Is it typical for things to come up that fast? I always thought we would be waiting for months to see green! I didn't know there was such immediate gratification!

Thanks for sharing!

We planted the seeds in some extra miracle grow soil. I think that helped a little with the quick germination.

As you can all tell, my Cris is an extrodinarilly talented girl! I am so impressed with how she takes on new things (like making bread, blogging, gardening...) -- She is truly a goifted and talented woman and I am blessed to have her! I'm glad she took on the challenge of "me!" Great job on the garden hon! You're amazing!

It was great to see the pictures of your too-cute garden. The boys liked seeing Clover. They thought he looked like a stuffed animal. The girls look so cute. I really like Tally's hair braided. I can't wait till mine is long enough to braid like that...too-cute Tal.

We have enjoyed growing tomoatos, wild strawberries and our favorite, rasberries. I would love to take our beloved rasberry bushes to Tokyo...

I'm sure that God will provide an eager buyer for your home. Maybe even one with loads of cash:) How could anyone resist your Oh-so-inviting yard? Cute kids and bunny not included, of course.

The girls and I were just checking out the garden blog and LOVED seeing Clover running around. We all keep saying how happy we are that our bunny has a new, improved home where she is spoiled! We're glad that you blog, too, so we can keep in touch after you move!

Oh good! That is your bunny! LOL At first I thought "Ut oh! Imposter!" LOL Your garden is beautiful! We joined a CSA this year (community supported agriculture thingy) for the first time, maybe some day we'll move on to our own garden. I figured supporting some one else's was at least a step in the right direction! :)
