balloon animals
Just had to share these cute balloon animals that were decoration at our adoption shower. They were just too cute. Of course we loved that they were African animals.
The girls got a little balloon animal kit from a friend this weekend at the shower (click the peapod to see that post). Tally wanted to learn to make the basic balloon animal. She carefully followed the instructions and was the first in the family to figure it out.I was really impressed with her determination on this one. I also found it interesting that she learned by either reading the instructions or having them read to her. Not looking at the pictures. I am always fascinated how children learn.
She isn't quite up to making those cool animals at the top, but she is having fun learning something new. I just love when my kids can do something that I can't do. And sad to say, the day will quickly come where they are teaching me things, instead of me always being the teacher.

She did a GREAT job!! And the ones for your shower are perfect too. Wish they would last longer for your boys to see them. =)
These are cute as can be. I've tried making balloon animals some years ago, but did not really get the knack of it - they barely held together. It's fun making them, though.
GREAT JOB, TALLY! You go girl!
Very cute...great job Tally!
These are awesome. I am very impressed. It's funny how different we all are. I like to read instructions, but JD ignores the print and just tries to figure out how to put things together by looking at the completed project and working backwards or by looking at pictures. Different minds, same Creator...awesome plans for all of us.
Very fun! I wish we Florida gals could all have been there too. I'm so excited for you and for how quickly God is moving in all this. I love the boys' names and their room too. I was all over your blogs today, as I made some of your bread tonight, but couldn't find my recipe, so I had to find it on your blog :-)
those African balloon animals are adorable and your daughter did a great job of making one herself! Kids just love those animal balloons don't they? excited for you and your family!
Too bad Uncle Tim isn't there to make you some cute balloon animals. Good job Tal.
