Do I wonder where they get it???

No, they get it from me. I may harp on them to clean up after they are done, but do I always clean up? In the spirit of keeping it real, I wanted to share what I saw the few days I had the sewing machine out. I know, I know...shocking. (gasp)

I usually am pretty good with putting my things away, but this is a good reminder for me to have some grace on my children.

It's nice to know you are real. Its not anything that can't be cleaned up in a few minutes if the realtor calls! I have seen much worse..
I wish people would leave money on my kitchen counter, like a tip for all my hard work in there!

Smile. For a second I thought it was my dining table.

Isn't it funny to see what is lying around? The money was from tutoring that I do. And you can see I was saving those peanut shells for the compost pile. No need to through that good stuff out. =)

I am going to have to pick up after myself more, too! Especially my office...\

I don't think I have ever been reading a new blog before and have that person comment on my blog at the same time! Right now we are focusing on Haiti because our kids are there and because the storms have ravaged the country. We are working with C3 Missions out of KC and with other churches going on missions trips but are open to any country, any way we can help. There are orphans and people in need all over the earth so we are in it for the long haul. We want to be our own non-profit eventually. You can email me at flipflopfleet@gmail.com!

Thank you!

I hope no one got lost under all the stuff..

Seriously ... we all have to let go sometime :-)

We still pray upon occasion that a cleaning fairy might come. Alas, that prayer has not worked yet.

With as many peeps as we have, that fairy could not come soon enough!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Love the money on the counter too! fitncrafty is right! Nothing that you couldn't clean up quickly - but it is fun to see your things. I remember a friend who was always going to garage sales - buying things. She became convicted of it when she realized her children always wanted to buy things at the store. They had seen her "buy" and wanted to "buy" as well. Amazing !

Hey...give yourself a break. After all these months of having to keep your house spotless for the drop-in house-buyer you need a little Messy Bessy to ease the stress.

With all the stress you have keeping the house ready to show, it's got to be a relief to just let things go sometimes. Glad you liked the peaches. Next time I'll send home some applesauce, delish.

I have days like this too. When I go in my room after getting on my kids' cases to do their chores and get their rooms clean, when get one look at my room and bathroom I feel so bad. I remember as a kid thinking "OK mom, practice what you preach!" and then here I am leaving clothes all over my bedroom floor, shoes where I take them off, my bathroom counter always looks like that!, and I very rarely clean my bathroom- only when it SCREAMS at me.

So, needless to say, this post spoke to me! Thanks Cris.

Glad to know that I am in good company w/ my own messes. Truth be told, I have a few that are bigger than that and couldn't be cleaned up really quickly... need to work on that.
