sucked in by facebook

Oh, my, word!!! I have been sucked into facebook and it has eaten up my morning. BTW, feeling old among these hip young kids that are all about that site. But it is a "rabbit trailing dream", clicking from friend to friend. I passed it on to Chuck and with in a few hours he has oodles of friends. Man is he one popular guy. It took me awhile to learn how to add my maiden name (like I said, feeling old). But it was a blast to connect to old high school friends. LOVE it!

Yuck! I am boycotting facebook. I must be the only one who feels like a fish out of water on their pages. I really don't like how they talk in the 3rd person, like say Cris is feeling happy today, or Cris is baking bread, or whatever. However I do not know enough about it to say that maybe you can reword your post???

My mom and sis are into it, so they give me a hard time about not becoming their friend. ;)

It is cool to see how OLD we have gotten!

Hey Mark and I are both one. "Let's get together" Wait until you check out all the games, I'm addicted to pathwords and word twist. See on the book.

I like it too, my blog is "my thing", but I like finding old friends!

How does facebook work? Is it just another M*Sp@ce?

I don't like facebook nearly as much as blogging. No aesthetics! And, somehow I'm always wandering around wondering whose site I'm on. Also, I know how annoyed my kids must be since I can now see and comment on their photos (which I am not always crazy about) etc. It IS sometimes handy for chats with them, though...especially Lydia when she was in Spain. The main thing about facebook is that there are so many time-wasting features. The games look cute, and the buttons and bumperstickers and art and so forth. But I am really too busy for all that!

Hey there, Girlfriend!

My WORD it's been TOO LONG since I've visited around with my bloggy buddies! I've been reading over your most recent posts and I must say, "You are one AMAZINGLY COOL Mom!" (Oh, and I thought the hooting thing you talked about sounded like FUN! I'll have to try that with the boys)

Now, I know we've talked some through email, but I wasn't sure if I knew where your email address was, so I thought I'd ask you this here and you can email me your response. Your home that you're trying to sale wouldn't happen to be in a "prime deer hunting area" would it? If so, lemme know?

Oh yeah, now about Facebook. I too got sucked in. Man, it can be time-CONSUMING! I had to MAKE myself stop getting on there so much. The only REALLY bad thing about it (as far as I'm concerned) is that I THINK you have to register with a gmail account. Well, I set one up JUST TO DO FaceBook, but I NEVER sign on to it. Then, when someone requests me as a friend I may not see it for MONTHS! It IS a fun thing to have though. It's kinda like text messaging with pictures. ;-)

Okay, I didn't mean to keep you. I just wanted to check in and say hello.

I've MISSED YOU TONS!!!
LOVE YOU!

Me too. I am sad to admit it. I am an addict.

I like how Annie explained it. I like writing and expressing myself on the blog and having all the flexibility of a blog. I haven't been tempted to play the games, but I get invites and karma all the time. I just ignore them.

I just started with facebook a couple of weeks ago and loved it at first but don't like the "new" facebook as much as the old. I did get to reconnect with my best friend from middle school (she's a doctor now-wow!) and that was great.

I got on once, just to try to connect to Joel's world...and haven't found time to sit down again. It is fun to try to connect with people though. Tim got on when Chuck facebooked him.
