What would you change?

I find that asking people questions is a great way to get to know someone. I wonder if you could change one physical attribute about yourself, what would it be? I know, I know...I might like to change a few, but if I had to choose just one it would be my eyes. I have had to give up wearing contacts in the last 2 years and I miss going without my glasses. I miss that feeling of being able to see really well when you put on your make up. I miss running and not having my glasses slip down my nose from the sweat. I really miss wearing sunglasses. I am tired of that feeling of not really being myself (I am surprised how sluggish I feel in glasses). So for me, if I could do my "I dream of Jeannie blink" (you know, arms crosses with the head boink blinky thing) I would give myself perfect vision and healthy eyes.

How about you? What would it be? Taller, better hair, thinner...what would it be? Let's just pretend for a moment that it really would change if you could wish on a star.

Oh - I should say a prayer of thanks that I can wear contacts again. I did have a couple of years where I couldn't and it was awful - in every way you mention! The steaming up when you're cooking or opening the dishwasher, not being able to enjoy a walk in the rain. You brought it all back.

Well - one thing? I don't want to worry about my weight. (Not that I DO anything about it - I just have it prodding me disapprovingly all the time.)

Easy one - thicker hair. Life would be easier if I didn't have to try to make something out of almost nothing.

Or maybe a better attribute to change would be my vanity :)

This is a really cute idea! :) I wish I could say there is only one thing, but I have quite a few. But, to go with your question, and only pick one I think I would change my chin. I wish it were more prominent I think. I'd like to be thinner (and I could diet) and your idea on the perfect vision is a great one (though I could wear contacts). But of the things I can't really do anything about, I'd change my chin! :)

For me, it would be legs. They wouldn't have to be the best legs in town, just nicely firm without cellulite and broken veins. People with naturally nice legs can carry a little weight on top and still look great in shorts, skirt or dress. I had decent legs for awhile in my 20's. But for me that meant MANY hours of exercise each week. Now at 49, I squeeze in spinning 3 times a week. It does help. But yes - LEGS.

I would wish for A flat tummy. I know very vain... but just being honest.

I'm thinking the removal of all celluite (?), that way I'd be thin, have great legs, and a flat tummy!

I'd wish for new feet! These don't work very well--they've given me trouble for years!

If I could change something about my physical appearance it would be to make my body be less flabby and soft. I would be nice and firm and tone. :)

My overall body weight...I would like it much lower, much much lower:)

Well before I had kids, I would have definitely said my nose. I have always wished it were smaller without a bump on the bridge. However, if I could really change one thing I would have to go with Courtney. I would love to have a flat stomach (not right now of course but between pregnancies.)
BTW-I am sure your glasses are a pain, but they look really cute on you.

I have to agree with Major Mom. My body weight needs to be WAY lower. I have lost weight before & then gained it all back plus. It's hard for me to stay motivated, but I can do it. The trick is keeping it off. I need lots of prayers to be able to do that.

Sorry K-sue...it's the oppossite for me. I would tame down my wild, thick, and fuzzy hair. It's pathetic when I think of all the time, energy, hair products and contraptions that go into helping me look semi-presentable. It would be easier to be wash-and-go girl! (oh, and I would take away those bothersome grays that keep taking over..."I'm too young to look like a granny!!!")

Sorry your glasses are a dud. I have gotten used to mine since I had to stop wearing contacts for serveral years. But, I've learned to make do...but I hear ya, when you want to dress up and look extra nice...
Your glasses DO look cute Cris. They give you character! (that's a compliment - smile)

I'm not thrilled with my weight either, but I know it's something I could control with diet and excercise. I hope to get back into my routine now that soccer season (with practice 4 nights a week) is over, and many of the activities I'm involved in are breaking over the summer. If I could change one thing physically, I'd like to get rid of the 9 inch scar I have going down my leg-a remnant from a car accident when I was 20. We've tried plastic surgery and it didn't help; I just scar too easily. It's faded a bit and my husband and those I'm around a lot say they don't notice it anymore. But I always know it's there...and I get asked about it when I meet someone new (or am getting a pedicure).

Hmm.... I would say bigger and firmer boobs! Ha! But, I also wouldn't get fake ones...I just want to wake up one morning and have new boobs! :) LOL LOL

My thick GERMAN eyebrows. I hate waxing and plucking, but come on if I didn't I would soon look like one big Unibrow in a nursing bar : ) LOL

I want straight teeth. I've always hated that my front two teeth are crooked. But, of all my sibs, mine were relatively LESS crooked, so they got braces, I didn't. I don't want to deal with braces at my age, but if there were some way to make them magically straight...

Actually I did change something about myself in the summer of 2005, I had a breast reduction. Suffice it to say I now wlka a bit lighter.

But if I had to change one thing about myself now, it would be my extremely droopy eyelids. Yes, age is taking effect, but my eyeleds have been puffy forever... hereditary.

Just like the breast reduction, your eyelids have to drorp enough to interfere with your vision. I am not there yet. So I wait, wait for age to do its thing. Geez Louise.
