My is she tall !!!

I just looked over to the window where my girls had their noses pressed against the glass (it is starting to snow) and thought to myself..."My is she tall". Speaking of Tally of course. She has always been tall and she obviously comes from some tall genes. But I think she is growing an inch a month. She just seems so TALL and grown up. Last time she was measured she was 5 ' 3". This is a 10 year old. I have adult friends that aren't that tall. And if you chart that (HERE) she is higher than the 95%. (Well, she always has been off the charts).

I wonder how tall she will be. I am guessing around 6 feet. And I can only imagine, she will not only be tall, but beautiful. For some reason, when I just saw her looking out the window it took me by surprise. Such a blessing watching her grow.

I know the feeling. Jonny has always been "off the charts", but this week, Jacob offically passed me in height. Now we see "eye to eye", but not really and to think he's only 12!

To me... it is a happy time and a sad time when we realize our blessings are growing up. My oldest Emily really changed a lot from ages 11-12. She just turned 13 and is still growing. I think that we mostly notice from a distance when we can kind of sit back and view them from a distance. I have been thinking about this a lot lately and somedays feel guilty for just letting the days go by and not "really" spending quality time with each child. Time goes by sooooo quickly.. it is a little scary :(

On another note... how exciting for snow!! We may have some on Sunday!

Wow Tally really is getting tall. If she's 5'4", she's the same as me. Camille will be 12 next week, and I think that she is 5'1". I've been telling her that it is time to measure. And if Tally doesn't like the sound of 6', I have a 6' friend who says that she is 5-12.
"Hi" to all.

Whoa! I just saw a gal the other day who was born a day before Tally and she is tall also - but she doesn't come from tall parents. What fun to see how tall she will be.

Tall and beautiful. Grandma here is not where the tall genes come from. I am 5'4". Tall runs on Grandpa's side though.

Last time we were together, I said that next time we saw Tally she would be taller than I am and...she is. Once she hit 5'3" she has left me behind. Go girl!!! And yes, she is beautiful.

Yea. Our kids grow fast.
Girls usually get their teen-tween growth spurt before boys. JT is waiting (semi) patiently to catch up to his girl...friends. Brenton is tall too though and keeps growing...I think, one of these days he HAS too stop...yikes, but maybe not! Remember Eddie Bauer has EVERYTHING in talls...loving it!! Their outlets are great with 70% off catalog prices.
