Clover

We got a little addition to the family. The girls made a trade for this bunny this week. We got her from a friend that we recently connected with. You may wonder what they traded for this sweet little thing. I will post on that next week.

We had said we would get a pet after we moved here, since we had to get rid of our dog (see this post). We had a bunny years ago and loved it, but little Clover here is a wonderful bunny. Sooooo sweet and gentle with the girls.

It is good to idea for the girls to learn to care for an animal. I am always looking for the teachable moment. We have had fun with her this week.

That is great. Sounds like a super pet for the girls as you start your little "farm". Just in time for Easter. Cute name...did the girls decide on that? I really like your BUNNY Tristen and Tally!!!

Rabbits are great pets. When I was a kid we had one and it made a burrough(?) under our house. I know some people who walk their rabbit on a leash- like a dog. Maybe the girls can get a stroller and push Clover around in the backyard. :)

We thought about getting a bunny last year. My kids have never had a pet! We'll have to talk about bunnies.

We have a bunny also, Noel. Bunnys are great...we just can't get ours to use the litter box for #2, just #1

Sweet bunny! I love the markings. We tried an indoor bunny, and he made a mess of things! Poo all over the floor, chewed on door-jams, ripped up carpet. I wish you better luck with yours. My cousin had one she loved and he was indoors.

I'm eager to hear what you traded to get Clover.

We currently have a little bunny living in our kitchen.

He lived on the porch when we got him last summer, and the plan was to keep him in the garage in the winter, but my daughter thinks he'd be too lonely out there and she's begged to let him stay inside. So far, she's really good about cleaning up after him so his cage doesn't stink...so I've allowed it. It sounds really terrible though that we keep him in the kitchen!! Spoiled bunny. :) Actually, his cage is just inside the sliding glass door, but next to our kitchen table because I didn't want it on the carpet.

I thought we would bring the bunny hutch inside, but I was afraid it would smell. We cleaned out the cage this weekend and it might make it into the school room. Every classroom needs a pet right? I know she can't live outside during the hot summer months. Not sure what we will do then.

She is such a good bunny. So glad to have her.
