Quite a Story

This is such a fun story. We were visiting a new church yesterday morning and I was checking the girls in to the kids program. Chuck was in the hall meeting some people and I joined the conversation about midway through. After about a minute into the conversation the guy said "You look really familiar, have we met?" I didn't remember meeting him recently, so I said no. Then he asked where I grew up and he pinpointed right away the town I lived in when I was in Jr. and Sr. High School. As soon as he said that I knew who he was. An old friend that was in my high school youth group in Illinois! I haven't seen him in over 15 years and it was such a treat to reconnect.

He and his sweet wife invited our family over to lunch at their house that afternoon. They live on 20 breathtaking acres and are only about 10 minutes from our new place. They have a bit of a mini farm. The girls loved riding their pony and seeing the goats and cows and such. It turned out to be such a blessing of a day. The girls had a great time with their kids. And we enjoyed our time of connecting and making new/old friends.

Hey...I think I know who it is. Cool, huh? Do you all go to the same church? The farm looks fun and I am sure the girls loved riding horses. Fun.
