Dinner anyone?

When we bought this house I thought the dinning area would be perfect for a big long farm table. We started hunting for one and realized we weren't willing to spend $1200 for one with out chairs. It was Chuck's idea to use our current table as the "bones" of a new one. He and my dad made this beautiful 8 foot table.

We revamped the chairs with new fabric on the cushions and painted black with the distressed look. Martha Stewart would be so proud.

It looks great. Now you need more kids to sit around it (smile)!! It looks super and it was fun to see the pics of dad and Chuck.

Sure Court! The whole thing only cost me about a hundred dollars (for wood, paint & stain)! -- The key was already having the table legs & chairs to re-use. If you're serious, come up for a weekend & Brian & I can build you one!

How great to see the finished product. BEAUTIFUL! I agree with Christy - move over Martha! You both have such a great eye for just the right thing! Tally - the fabric you chose is perfect! Love it! Love it!. Grammy/Mom

I love it, love it, love it! We kind of cram around ours....and it has benches, which I thought was cute, but really is a pain.

I looked at the photos again. I also love that great big space around it. Our house is so cramped in comparison.
