Not sure I am ready...

... for prepubescent girls. The tears, oh the tears. I can handle the baby stage (sleep deprived mom and all) and the toddler stage (bring on the tantrums). Give me a kid with a hurt boo boo and I know what to do. But the prepubescent stage...um, not sure what to do. The emotions. The tears. The feelings. I fear we are entering the unknown. Am I going to make it?

We are in the throes of tantrums... 18 month old ones by a girl that we have quite obviously spoiled to "keep the peace" and an almost 5 year old who has Waaayyy too much attitude to be so young. So today, I can't decide what's worse... hang in there.
I agree! I would gladly go back to infancy or the terrible two's....Mothers older that me tell me that we will make it, but we will spend more time on our knees than ever before.
Oh my...not there yet, but I can only imagine. :~)
Aww. I felt the same way. Now I have three girls in that stage. We are managing. Don't worry, it isn't as bad as you think.
I was just having these same thoughts yesterday. I am assured we will make it by those who have gone before.
wow... it doesn't seem like it was that long ago but I do remember! You'll find yourself on your knees much, yes... you'll also find yourself speaking and relating to your daughters in a different way.
My oldest is 11. I feel your pain.
I have heard that boys are harder when they are younger and then easier when they are older and girls are easier when they are younger and harder when they are older....who knows.
Sorry you had tears to deal with today.
It's not easy - but "this too shall pass!" Hang in there. It will be worth it in the end!
